According to the fine print, the pup was stolen by the CVS on Third Avenue and 22nd Street. The owner doesn't mention the dog's name... and there is a $500 "or more" reward.
They "think" their dog was stolen from 22nd and 3rd (obviously tied up outside and let alone for any passing opportunist)? They're not sure? What kind of an owner is this?
If the dog was tied up outside and left alone then shame on the owners! Dogs get stolen all the time that way and people still don't take care. Stupidity does not garner my sympathy but I do hope the poor, innocent dog is ok.
A stolen (stollen) dog = hot dog! (Sorry, I hope he or she is found. People need to learn to be more responsible with their animals. Hope this owner learns a lesson and gets a dictionary.)
Poor dog; hope it's found soon. We can sure criticize the owner, but the dog did nothing to deserve that. The dog must be so horrified and confused :-(
It's a fucking sad, degenerate world we live in when someone would steal a living creature from its owner(s). Pathetic. I hope this poor lil' guy finds his way home. And I hope the person that stole him gets hit by a bus.

ReplyDeleteThe flyer says the dog is a kind of cakelike loaf- a stollen. Someone might have eaten it.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the author meant to say the dog was stollen "near" the CVS, not "by" the CVS.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness whoever did this sign didn't also do the sign for the new Avenue A Bistro Cafe (and Sushi Bar?) Talk about infusing!
jeez can u imagine going around and stealing dogs? nice karma

ReplyDeleteWhen will people learn!? I would NEVER even THINK of leaving my dog tied to a pole outside of a store.
ReplyDeleteWell intentioned people don't steal dogs. The poor thing is probably bait in an underground dog fight right about now.

ReplyDeleteHope dog gets home. Wish word "adorable" would vanish forever.
