New trees grow on East Sixth Street


In keeping with our positive theme here today...EV Grieve reader Creature notes the following: "We lament the destruction of trees, so I thought it would be nice to celebrate some new ones. There are four of them, planted yesterday ... on Sixth Street, south side, toward First Avenue."

    If that photo's looking toward First Avenue, aren't those trees on the NORTH side?

    Nope. South side. It's between 1st and A, not 1st and 2nd.

    That is good news! The more trees, the better. Makes the streets much more beautiful and improves the air...
    5th Street has so many trees that 6th street is getting envious...
