There is at least one camera on the wall (toward the East end of the wall). Someone should invent graffiti-resistant paint (unless that’s already been done).
@10:48--Actually, a variety of graffiti resistant paints and prophylactics have already been invented. But honestly, they end up being lots more expensive and more hard work than a bunch of brown paint.
Not sure why Verizon wastes so much time on this wall. Just leave the graffiti and move on. Is it really that big a deal?
good lord, and on it goes - just f'ing leave it, verizon! stop wasting money and time on brown paint brown paint brown paint. it looks so much better with the tags anyway.
or just once and for all commission a local artist to do a nice, morale-boosting, community-based mural, and then neither side will have to touch it for a long time.
The point is someone (an individual, individuals, the City, whoever) owns this building and they want it (and have the right) to have it look a certain way. Is it the biggest deal in the world? Obviously not, but it doesn’t NEED to be to make it an issue. Hiring someone to do a mural is one option, too. But the fact that some people, even if they might be teenagers, feel entitled to graffiti wherever they want and not to give a shit about the impact it has on property owners, should not be disregarded in my opinion. You know, most people would be pissed if someone was constantly spray-painting the door to their apartment. But of course, maybe I’m just not being open-minded enough about all of this.

Can they just install cameras or perhaps a few nightwatchmen with bats?
