Friend House closes on Third Avenue

Multiple readers this past weekend pointed out that Friend House has closed on Third Avenue at East 13th Street... there is the Marshal's notice ... as well as for rent signs...



Let's see... it was Hea until September 2009, when Friend House across the street took over the space (same owners)... Friend House ran afoul of the DOH several times ... we also recall attending a CB3/SLA meeting where residents complained about late-night noise from the second-floor bar...

    That is nutty. This is my go to chinese food place. they deliver in under 15 minutes.

    did they not move into the expanded dumpling place (once on 11 1-2) now on 2nd ave and 11th street?
    i never hear anything good about the new place.

    This place had some of the best dishes, damn where am I gonna go for a late night dinner, awesome music and service now?

    Those yuppies need to move the hell out of NYC if they complain about noise at night coming from a restaurant/ bar. This is prime East Village location, ain't no middle of the burbs out in Connecticut. Some weak ass bull.
