Zaitzeff has closed on Avenue B

On Sunday night, we noted that Zaitzeff was closing its Avenue B location. Turns out that the healthy burger joint closed up for good last night at 18 Avenue B near East Second Street. the Zaitzeff locations in Murray Hill and the Financial District will remain open...

    Their food was really good and it was a nice interior, but it was a little up-market for Ave B (esp after the Crisis) and was always empty from what I saw.

    i loved that place. one of my favorite new york burgers.

    I also liked it cause it was almost always empty, especially on weekdays! Perhaps why they closed...

    Loved them. The boys who owned it were nice. their mom is an angel. good food.
