The Dermot Company, developer and manager of the 12-story residential building, Arabella 101 [at 101 Avenue D], is pleased to announce that the building is now 85% leased. This marks another milestone for the Alphabet City residence, which just launched less than two months ago, and recently unveiled its landscaped roof deck.
Arabella 101 includes a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments on the building’s upper nine floors, containing expansive windows, designer bathrooms, bamboo flooring, tenant-controlled air conditioning and heat, video intercoms and generous closet space.
A virtual doorman, game room, fully-equipped gym, laundry facilities, and bike storage are part of the amenity package offered to all residents. Residents also have access to the landscaped roof deck which offers picturesque views of lower Manhattan and the East River, and contains a grill, plentiful seating and a plethora of year-round plantings.
Remaining rents start at $2,400 per month for studios and $2,950 per month for one-bedrooms.
Previously.
I hope they enjoy their project views.
ReplyDeletelooks like there is about 2 inches on the window side, guess they'll not change their sheets often.
ReplyDeleteoops, sorry. that's the maid's problem.
Lyn Pentecost had the nerve to call my EV organization to try and rent the commercial spaces.
ReplyDeleteA "virtual doorman"? Isn't that what we common folks call a "buzzer"?
ReplyDeleteAnd let's not forget a bedroom so small that the unlucky occupant of the east side of the bed gets to abrade their legs on the HVAC unit every time they get in or out of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I just still can't wrap my head around those prices for Avenue D. I guess rich people really *are* getting desperate.
ReplyDeleteWTF is a virtual doorman? Can a virtual doorman hold packages for the schmucks in these stupidly overpriced apts?
ReplyDeleteWant a real apt with a real doorman that's reasonably priced (for NYC, anyway)? Forget the EV, look on the UES.
If you are willing to pay over $3k a month (according to website) to live on Avenue D then you and I cannot hang, sorry.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is a virtual doorman? An intercom?
ReplyDeleteI didn't think they would ever go near Avenue D. I wonder if it will stick?
ReplyDeletenew buildings are sounding more like college dorms (game room?)and/or the suburbs (barbecue deck?)and i'm sure a roof deck sounds great, except it is a nuisance to everyone in the area with all the whooing and screaming involved. At least bars have business hours- roofdecks are irritation that can go on any time of day or night.
ReplyDeleteOct 28, 12:13 PM, roof deck partying saturating entire
ReplyDeleteneighborhood with super-loud bad DJ vibe.
Been going on for hours. No number listed to
complain to. Really a wonderful addition to the area. Thanks.
If you don’t like a super-loud bad DJ vibe, move back to Suburbia!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the expansive windows! All very nice but look what they are looking out at – the other apartment blocks! No nice views then of mountains or the beach or gardens, just tall tower blocks for your 3 thousand dollars. What a bargain! I much prefer my little facility – an apartment which is very basic, with no virtual doorman I might add, but overlooks a lovely park area with trees and blooms.
