Looks like they've "topped out" the steel. They usually put up a tree during the topping out ceremony. (I watch Discovery Channel alot.)

ReplyDeleteI walk by this thing every day and I can't begin to tell you how intrusive the Death Star is to the block and the skyline. The building obliterates everything else around it. It's such a horror and so out of place for the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the holiday/Christmas thing? Christmas has trees. Hanukkah does not.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually something called a Wiecha tree. As per Polish tradition, it is placed above a building as it is being constructed for good luck.
