EVG regular Greg Masters notes the arrival of new trees this morning on East 12th Street ... just east of First Avenue...
From the look of it, the truck has a lot more deliveries to make... please let me know if you see a tree go up on your block...
thanks bloomy. more place to lock up our bikes
ReplyDeletethey cut spaces on 7 between A and B like 6 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. We'll be able to climb them the next time the East Village floods!
ReplyDeleteTrees were being planted around 10am this morning on 10th between 1st and A!
ReplyDeleteThe trees are from the million tree project I think. Last year they dug up a tree our garden planted to put one of their trees in and it died. Im sure there are neighborhoods in the 5 boros that need a lot more attention than ours. Our block already planted bulbs for the spring in our tree pits . (Maybe the people planting trees are afraid of East NY )
ReplyDeleteAs per @10:29, trees going in on 7!
ReplyDeleteI came home one day this summer to find the tree in front of my building on 12th & A missing, as well as two others across the street. Never did find out what happened to them, but they were all three replaced this morning, and I wish them all a long and healthy life!
ReplyDeleteAnon 12:02- FYI, lots of these trees being planted in my (semi sketchy) Harlem neighborhood. Thankfully your E. NY/ fear concept seems to be incorrect. -from a former E Villager
ReplyDeleteInteresting trees too. I got a Hardy Rubber Tree and two Turkish Filberts across the street.
