East Yoga has been gutted. Ugh. Via @grahamashcraft
Updated 8:56 p.m.
Per the East Yoga website:
No one was in the studio and the surrounding businesses and people living in the building are all okay. So we are counting our blessings that the extent of the damage is limited to our physical space.
While the damage is extensive, we are hopeful that we will be up and running again in a few weeks time. We are so thankful for the outpouring of support that we have already received. It's been truly incredible how many hugs, phone calls, texts, offers we have had so far. This is when you really understand how powerful our community truly is.

Nooooooooo!!! That was my favorite yoga studio and part of what made the east village feel like home!! :(
I JUST taught a yoga class there this am! How can this be??
My heart is completely broken for the East Yoga community :( #shittiestweekever
so sad to hear this news. My daughter goes to the kids class every Tuesday and loves it. Hope to see then back in business quickly. They have been great neighbors forever!
I was just at the class last Friday, and told Katie how much I loved the studio. No doubt they will be able to recover from this, it's an incredible group of people. Where you lead, we will follow! Take care.
Since moving out of the country, I have really missed this place.... glad to hear they will rebuild!
This is terrible news. East Yoga is amazing and will only come back better and stronger!
I am heartbroken! This is my local yoga studio, I was just there for a class yesterday. My thoughts are with the owners and teachers, you've brought so much light into the community.
So very sorry to hear about the
fire. Hope that you'll re-build
quickly and be up and running soon.
Best Wishes & Best of Luck, Howard Rosenberg
