The deli on First Avenue near St. Mark's Place closed for a renovation (same owners) back on Oct. 22...

[Updated] Another East Village corner market closes; 13 and counting for the last year or so
You should have seen it at night. The awning lights could guide 747s down at Kennedy. Horrid.

ReplyDeleteThere must be some kind of starter kit or manual for opening a New York bodega in 2012. I mean they seem to be getting so genericized and samey that its not much different from a 7-11 innit.

ReplyDeleteAnyone know what's happened to the one across the street, just south of 7th St? I used to get my lotto tickets there, but it's suddenly shuttered without a note. The guys in there were always so nice.
ReplyDeleteI alwiys get my cofet on Frist Ave same plave I get my bath solts.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 1:25: I remember when "panini" was plural.
