Huh, when I ventured outside this morning the streets didn't seem as bad as I thought they would. Then again I didn't go anywhere near St. Marks, which is where I assume these photos were taken...
Totally agree. How hard is it to take pride in your neighborhood? EV is full of defeatist, nihilist losers. And I'm not just talking about the NYU woooh's. Doberman owners leaving massive poop on the sidewalk, bar owners who couldn't be bothered sweeping hundreds of cigarette buts...the list goes on. If you wanna live in a slump, the weather in Rio is great.
Your remarks and lively debates are welcome, whether supportive or critical of the views herein. Your articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to an article are welcome.
However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
That's terrible. Some people among us are truly worse neighbors than rats. I say worse because unlike rats people are supposed to know better.

ReplyDeleteOne of NYC's great disconnects is how much its citizens like to proclaim their love for their city/neighborhood, but then treat it like shiat.
