Now THIS is a line for free pancakes
Checking in on National Pancake Day, where IHOP is serving free short stacks (of pancakes) on IHOP Way/East 14th Street … A very healthy line around 5, made up mostly of students (high school, middle school…)
The line goes back to Kings Hairstyling … about 9 storefronts to the west … it is all very orderly …
… and an ambulance remains parked nearby… just in case.

Nice change to see people lined up for ordinary comfort food (as opposed to some new fad food made by left handed 7-finger myopic virgin one-legged recovering alchoholic monks using artisinal dog crap gathered under the new moon with Mercury in retrograde)... Enjoy the flapjacks, people!
ReplyDeleteI've never cared for pancakes.
ReplyDeleteGimme sheet cake, though, and watch your fingers!
I'm glad to see the ambulance is parked nearby; heart disease is the number-one killer in the United States, and too much butter can bring on a quick heart attack.
ReplyDeleteiHop is not a real pancake...2% maple syrup is not syrup
ReplyDeleteLuckily, I think national angioplasty day is next week. Get in line now! :)
ReplyDeleteIf they were giving out free ice cubes people would still line up. ANYTHING FOR FREE I BE THERE YO!!!
