  1. Just came back from doing some hardware store and food shopping which brought me to 1st ave for Pierogis and plumbing parts, then to Ave C for some fresh fish and coffee on sale at C-town. I passed what must have been a dozen restaurants filled with people staring at some soccer game. It baffles me to see this many people that I imagine are employed, with little else to do.

    I find amusing how passionate Americans suddenly become about soccer when it provides them an opportunity to drink heavily on a Monday afternoon.
