Things that randomly appear on 1st Avenue around 1 a.m.
EVG reader Sam Teichman spotted this unattended vehicle early this morning between East Seventh Street and St. Mark's Place... seemingly came out of nowhere...
Also, can any car people out there let us know what this is...?

A blue one! Easy! Headlights in the front taillights in the back. You're welcome!
ReplyDeleteClive Cussler is in the nabe?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that this is a "Kit Car". Engine from a regular car on an assembled or assemble yourself body.
ReplyDeleteIt's most likely a 1970's VW chassis covered in a fiberglass and chrome kit-car body. Nothing special here - just someone's garage built summer ride.
ReplyDeleteIts the re-styled school bus from the Partridge family show, I think.
ReplyDeleteWhy, that's Scrooge McDuck's ride! The East Village is surely over now. What with even the filthy rich fowl flocking to the nabe for their Wednesday night jollies!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else noticed that the shade of blue is almost identical to that of the bikes in the preceding post?
ReplyDeleteLow...rider...
ReplyDeleteI've seen that shade of blue on a zillion dresses worn on the streets of NYC in the past week - why is this?
