Signs went up yesterday at 31 Third Ave. We didn't spot the listing online just yet.
Before moving this past summer to a new storefront on East Third Street, St. Mark's Bookshop had been paying $23,500 a month, according to the Times. (The store's new rent is $6,000.)

I was thinking of renting this space and starting a badly run business with arrogant sales people which ignore their customers. In a short time I will then start a campaign asking stranger give me money to keep my culturally important business alive. Does anyone what to be my backer?
ReplyDeleteShudder to think what will be moving in here since it's an especially high profile spot at the gateway to the EV. At this point it's almost guaranteed to be some kind of boring ass corporate outpost.
