Back in March we first caught the renderings for the new luxury residences headed to the single-floor row of storefronts at 50-62 Clinton St. between Stanton and Rivington.

Today, the Daily News and Real Estate Weekly have more details about just how luxurious: The condos will start around $1 million for a one bedroom, $2 million for a two bedroom and $3 million for a three bedroom.

Via Real Estate Weekly:

“The project’s defining elements are its smaller-sized units and moderate price points, all without compromising on design or quality,” said Dan Hollander, managing principal of DHA Capital.
Here's the updated rendering...

  1. Hate to break it to you, but $1M for a one bedroom or $2M for a 2BR is not "luxurious" any more - it's just standard new-build pricing.

This neighborhood (and basically anything in Manhattan below 160th) is not for people like us any more.

  2. $1 million per bedroom. On Clinton Street (which to me is awesome but to most of the world is a shithole).

    This is disgusting.

Building looks nice, at least - not futuristic looking.

  3. The first clueless residents will be so excited to be on the same block as WD 50, oops.

  4. Notice how the rendering does not show proper perspective of the building of the right side. Instead of a big block of condo we get an eastern sunset???

  5. I think it looks like a factory

  6. I moved onto Clinton St in 1994. $500 for a studio, which now rents for $2,600 (i'm long gone).

The block was a lot better back then, 57 Clinton and Lotus were the harbingers of gentrification (as was i, i guess).

  7. I think that building is missing a support wall, on the right side.

  8. Buildings on left and right are 3 stories, as depicted.

  9. This will be a nice place for absent Chinese and Russian oligarchs to warehouse apartments.
