Golden Crêpes coming to 2nd Avenue
Just the other day we were mentioning to no one in particular that crêpes have been a tough sell around here (RIP: Motek Creperie, La Belle Crepe).
Perhaps Golden Crêpes will make it work at 82 Second Ave. between East Fourth Street and East Fifth.
No opening date yet… just…
They have another location on West 15th Street.
This space was previously home to the Turkish restaurant 7 Spices.

Crooked Tree on East 9th Street has hung in there for a decade or more, so there is an audience for 'em somewhere in the EV!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for it. Crooked Tree is great, but more options would be excellent. I'm surprised that crepes aren't already more popular. Inexpensive, relatively light, and healthy (unless you only have Nutella one!).

I see crêpes as more of a West Village/UES thing but there is definitley a market. The crêpes stall in Union Square's holiday market is pretty good and always busy, and their truffle frites with garlic are really delicious way to clog a few more arteries before Thanksgiving dinner.
