ReplyDeleteThe problem with the typo is that it makes the person look dumb and lazy. If you can't be bothered to proofread one page then you don't deserve "quite". By the way, "specially" is not a word. We're all becoming morons by not learning the English language and writing in abbreviations on our gadgets. Let's pay attention in school, kiddies.
ReplyDeleteHey - I'm the first one to notice (and usually criticize) grammatical errors, spelling errors and ESPECIALLY the abundance of apostrophes EVERYWHERE - however in this case it is the sentiment expressed in this note that shutdown my usual process and makes the error nearly nonexistent. We all make mistakes - none of us just got up and walked without falling down. Time to pay attention to the message intended and not the minor shortcoming of a spelling error. Keep it quiet, as people have worked hard to maintain/achieve this in the past. Respect your fellow human beings (who you live in the same building with) and their efforts to have a quiet place to live in the "energetic" environment that is NYC... 'Nuff said

I think they meant "keep it quite quiet."
"The East Village offers plenty of opportunities to hang out with friends" sounds like it was ripped from a real estate promo for a new building, and would like be followed up with "It's cool. It's trendy. It's You."
