Well, no wonder the Alamo was back in plain view on Astor Place... EVG reader John M. just got a quick shot of workers carting off the Cube on a truck ... apparently for safekeeping during the reconstruction of Astor Place.

my goodness! I hope they return the cube and put it right back where they found it.
Maybe Amanda Burden-Christ removed it to make room for more seating!
Last we will see of it.
I expect it will be moved uptown somewhere - closer to the museums and the even richer people.
