New York Sports Club brands its new Avenue A home
One of the final pieces of the new New York Sports Club is in place at 28 Avenue A — the signage…
Now the gym here between East Second Street and East Third Street just needs some weights and treadmills and what not (or maybe all that has already been moved inside)…
The NYSC website now says this location will open in Winter 2015.

A friend of mine can see the red sign from her home in New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that they made the facade so shitty and ugly. People here like when you build new shit while respecting the old shit. There was no reason to destroy the facade. It's funny that they left the Gracefully sign - like, they even cut the facade around it and everything as if they don't plan to take it down. Maybe they did that before they knew Gracefully would close.
ReplyDeleteI called to ask about the "Founder's Rate" and it's obnoxious! I would never give that kind of money to this gym. I can't imagine what the "non founders rate" would be! I'll go for a run instead.

ReplyDeleteDoes your friend live near Sandy Hook? I heard the same thing!
This illustrates the difference between "Minimalism" and doing "the least possible".
ReplyDeleteThis is the crap that replaced that fabulous Burger-Klein sign?!? This?!?
ReplyDeleteCool. I already signed up for membership.
ReplyDeleteI heard that one can see the red sign from Alaska.
