    Honestly, who goes around with close to a $1K of valuables in their bag and then just leaves it unattended? She deserved it. Also: $400 wallet? Really?

    Leaving behind $1,000 worth of stuff in a bag is as easy as leaving behind a bag. A laptop alone can be over $1000. It's not the 1950s any more, people.

    The stupidity of people re: them leaving money and valuables unattened astounds me.

    If a good samaritan finds a $400 wallet and turns it into the Ninth Precinct, I'm pretty sure it would be put into a box of valuables the cops cash in on at some pawn shop once a month or so.
