Legally dump your old electronics today at Tompkins Square Park



The e-waste recycling event is underway on Avenue A between East Ninth Street and East 10th Street … until 4 p.m.

The e-wasters are accepting: Computers, monitors, printers, TVs… and everything listed on the flyer…

It's your chance to properly dispose of this!

    Thank you! Thanks to your PSA, I just got rid of a couple of pounds of cables, old cell phones, chargers... It's interesting to walk past the site, even just to see what kind of crap had been gathering dust at EV homes.

    I missed this event today, but apparently anyone living an a building of 10 units or more can request a drop box to be put in their building for e-waste recycling.

    Not accepting various electronics as curbside recycling is the most recent stupid thing the City has done. What are you supposed to do - throw all that in the East River? Drag your 25 inch TV on the subway and bus so you can get to a recycling center that takes that? Freakin' dumb! And the City let this happen.

    Not happening in my building and its a shitty brownstone built in the 20's & it ain't happening in complexes like Stuy Town for sure.
    Its dragged to the trash recycling area and the super has to deal with it.
