Seems like old times at the Houston/Bowery Mural Wall
The newly constructed Houston/Bowery Mural Wall returned to view yesterday afternoon, as BoweryBoogie pointed out this morning.
Starting tomorrow, Animal NY noted that POPaganda painter Ron English will begin a new mural that will look something like…
Ahead of that, Graffiti writer HOUND left behind a message on the wall.
Meanwhile, construction of a two-story building continues adjacent to the wall…
Previously on EV Grieve:
The Houston/Bowery Mural Wall has been boarded up
The mural wall will remain on the Bowery and East Houston
Os Gêmeos: (Almost) day by day
5 years later, Os Gêmeos returning to the Houston/Bowery Mural Wall
Peeling off the layers through the years of the Houston/Bowery Mural Wall

I saw this guy tagging it yesterday. Happened about 4:30 in broad daylight. We even yelled "worst tag ever". Nobody gives a f*ck bot vandalism, nobody got time for that! Same as it ever was.
ReplyDeleteThe shadows on the wall are better art than the tag. Glad to have the wall back, at the same time that EV Radio returns. Now we just need the old Dojos on St. Marks Place and a new Pomme Frites to help #SaveNYC.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same thing - about how badass those shadows look haha. I wonder if the shadows were anticipated and intentionally incorporated into the design or if it's just an awesome surprise that will make the murals look even more interesting throughout the day.
