A rush hour moment

A little earlier this evening on East Ninth Street just past First Avenue... via EVG reader Sam Teichman...

A woman walked by with a bag full of ends and crumbs from various breads and baked goods, dumps it right in the M8 bus stop ... and the hordes descended.

Thankfully, the driver of the bus that pulled up 90 seconds later had enough sense to give them some room.

  1. Pigeons today, rats tonight.

  2. Grieve making this one too easy.
    OK.
Too bad the lady wasn't still standing there when the bus had pulled in. BLAMO!

  3. Tis true Edmund. Shame the rats could not follow the miscreant to her house and enjoy fine dining straight in her kitchen.

  4. If the bus driver had hit the pigeons, he'd have hit the car too.

  5. There's a line the city is TRYING to have catch on:
"Feed a pigeon, breed a rat."

    Is this complicated folks?

  6. That woman is completely cray-cray. My son and I made the mistake of walking into the bus stop on a rainy day while she was feeding the pigeons and she flew into a fury, kicking the bread crumbs up into our faces and accusing us of pigeon abuse! Interfere with the sacred bus stop feeding of the pigeons at your peril.
