Ashiya Sushi has moved away from the East Village
The restaurant at 167 First Ave. has relocated to West 36th Street, per the sign on the door here between East 10th Street and East 11th Street...
And I've lost track of the various restaurants here since the faux-retro Bendix Diner closed in____?

Everytime I saw that Bendix sign I'd hear the Seinfeld music in my head. If they called it the "90's Diner" they'd have lines out the door.

I seem to recall the diner was called "Lucky Dog" before it was called Bendix. [Which was based in Chelsea—18th street, I believe.]
ReplyDeleteNow the only Bendix Diner Yelp lists is in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Sad world.
Thinking of Bendix, that feels like two lifetimes ago.
