Blockheads opens tomorrow on 3rd Avenue
The San Francisco-style Mexican restaurant opens tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the East Village.
The big burrito specialists, from the folks who launched Bennie's, is at 60 Third Ave. between East 10th Street and East 11th Street.
Per their Facebook page, frozen margaritas at this location will be $3 for the rest of July.
This will be the seventh Blockheads in Manhattan … not to mention the Benny's in the West Village.

STOP salting the wounds please. I really miss UFC (great beer menu). And the bar tenders were cool. So many bars in EV but so few places that have really grt selection and not overly loud or filled with dreck customers. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWhoo!! Welcome to Murray Hill south
ReplyDelete13 dollars for a burrito?
ReplyDeleteThat price is definitely not S.F. style.
ReplyDeleteViva 90's!!!
ReplyDeleteYessss!!!! We love Blockheads and going all the way up to 34th was becoming a drag, so this will be a very welcome addition to the nabe. Their guac is too die for
ReplyDeleteI love Blockheads. Same owner(s) as Benny's that went out on Avenue A. So haters: shut up. A burrito at Benny's was nearly #13 when it closed. Rents are high.
ReplyDeleteI still think it's an absurd name for a restaurant.
ReplyDelete5:20AM,
ReplyDeleteGood Beer (9th street) and Top Hops (LES). Great beer and interesting people that really know their great beer. Prices aren't horrible as well.
9:53AM,
$13 for a burrito? Sounds like San Francisco-style to me.
