... and by Saturday...
An 8-story retail-residential building featuring 114 units is on tap. (Waiting for the rendering via SLCE Architects to appear on the plywood.)
The residential entrance will be on East 13th Street, as previously reported ... a short walk to the incoming Avenue A L train entrance.

What's it say on the back of that lime green tee shirt???
ReplyDeleteThe devil we knew was better than one that's coming.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe they just closed down the post office without really replacing it. That pseudo PO on 14th and 1st is a joke. My heart sinks every time I get a pink slip in the mail. You can't get it redelivered because the pseudo PO doesn't run deliveries out of there. The line is always an hour long and moves so slow it's like you're stuck in a time warp.
ReplyDeleteI blame Republicans for cutting funding, but there's no reason that even this shitty little PO couldn't be better run. It's like a deformed relative that everyone wants to pretend doesn't exist.
"My heart sinks every time I get a pink slip in the mail."
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you even receive any pink slips from this shitty little PO.
I consider myself fortunate to receive a slip but it usually reads "This is your 3rd and final notice," when, of course, there have never been any prior notices left, and then threatens to return my package if I don't get over there pronto.
The hand giving the finger sadly epitomizes the short-sighted, self-defeating attitude of many people in this neighborhood willing to sit by and let the USPS sell off that location because they were unhappy with the long lines there. Well now we've long lines AND a shitty new location. Not to mention the even bigger crowds on the way to the morning L train once the 8 story long luxury condo with "timeless design" goes up and fills up.
ReplyDeleteI always get my packages redelivered through usps.com. It may take a few attempts but eventually they come again. There's no way in hell I'm going to wait in that pick up line.
