Via our friends at Curbed (ultimately via Time Out)
The elusive Gramercy Park—Manhattan's ritzy keyed-entry arboretum for the more fortunate — will open its gates to all on Christmas Eve. In keeping with a tradition held by The Parish of Calvary St. George, plebes will be allowed access into the park to listen to caroling at 6 p.m.
The Park is virtually accessible, however.
I hope the hoarding from the National Arts Club doesn't block the entrance.
ReplyDeleteexcellent art choice for this post.
ReplyDeleteMost boring Park in the city.
ReplyDeleteEVG bringing the yuks today, starting with Marquee Moons over my Hammy.
ReplyDeleteNever understood the appeal of this place. There's plenty of gardens in the city that are nicer, are filled with friendly people, and are usually open.
ReplyDeleteThe appeal is like a hot club or restaurant as in you "can't" get in.
ReplyDelete"DOODIES"!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePrefer gong over to Marble Cemetery both locations esp. during summer. Feel like a Secret Garden not like an over stylized mini Versailles.
ReplyDeleteIt's not worth climbing the fence to get into this park it's so easy.
