Nest stop



Red-tailed hawk parents Christo and Dora on nest watch in Tompkins Square Park late this afternoon... not sure just how many hatchlings are in the nest. Goggla has been monitoring the feedings. (There's a video of a feeding at Urban Hawks.)

Thankfully, there isn't any shortage of rats for the kids.

And maybe later this summer all of Christo and Dora's offspring will return for a family reunion in the Park.

    Birds are losers. So afraid to come down from their perches and deal with life on the street.

      I guess you haven't been keeping up with their previous antics like snatching pigeons in front of pedestrians, or their typical nesting on air conditioners while carefully avoiding traffic.

    Just you wisenheimers above this remember to keep moving as you walk by their nest - otherwise they will swoop down and get you for their next meal!

    Or is it 'stop' because they only go after moving targets? I forget...
