Prepping for 'Rocky Horror'
The rain held off ... and the first in the Films in Tompkins summer series is a go tonight ... with "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
As you can see in the above photo via Derek Berg... the film will be shown in the central plaza and not the lawn tonight...

And none of the audience knew the lines! Bummer!

Am I the only one that thought the volume was WAY to loud? I was sitting on the benches outside the lawn area and could barely tolerate it. I have no idea how people were sitting near the screen...
ReplyDeleteOh cool- Inflate-O-screen!
ReplyDelete@greg: If I couldn't hear the movie from my house—and I live less than a block from the park—I have no complaints.
ReplyDeleteAlso thought the volume was way too loud but more importantly wish they would move the screen back to the lawn like they used to do. Not complaints as still appreciate the novelty of watching a movie outside in the park, moreso just nitpicks.
ReplyDeleteScuba Diva this is the East Village of 2016 land of zero culture.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone wants the Cult Of Rocky Horror... there are the longrunning midnight screenings of it (and the only ones in the city if not the entire NYC metropolitan area) every Friday and Saturday nights at Cinepolis USA Chelsea (if it's still playing there.)

Apparently Bow Tie Cinemas is now Cinepolis USA a "luxury" theater and it only shows up to next Thursday so I'm guessing TRHPS will come up tomorrow when Friday will pop up.
