Last week's free film in Tompkins Square Park — the 1996 version of "Romeo + Juliet" with Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio — was rained out. So the organizers are doing a make-up screening tonight.
The evening includes a food fair/fest starting at 5 with vendors from the Eastville Restaurant Collective, which includes GG's, Boulton & Watt and Huerta's.

And tonight's free film is also the last one of the six-week summer series. One rainout of out six. Not bad compared with previous summers.
Is anyone in agreement with me that Leonardo DiCaprio can't act and is hands down the most overrated under 45 actor of all time?
ReplyDeleteHe's the same in all his films: hair, voice, facial expressions, mannerisms etc.
He also suffers from Too Handsome To Be Plausible Syndrome save in Titanic. That's the only movie he seemed to fit the role in.
He was great in the Revenant.

ReplyDeleteHe wasn't great in The Revenant, he was "great" because Hollywood is at an all-time low for quality actors (see Eddie "British Michael Cera" Redmayne and Bradley "American Raeph Fiennes" Cooper get nominated for back to back Best Actor awards) and they needed to finally give Leonardo DiCrapio a Best Actor before he did more overacting tripe like The Wolf Of Wall Street with that repulsive talentless Jonah Hill. This was Leonardo's last stand and they needed to prop him up.
