Bomb scare closes part of Avenue A this morning; cops find golf balls, shards of glass




The NYPD shut down Avenue A between 12th Street and 13th Street because of a box (marked from Amazon) was placed on the curb in front of Gabay's Outlet.

The bomb squad checked it out.

And inside?

The box was filled with shards of glass and golf balls.

    Dear bombers: you're not scaring anybody. The only thing that scares East Villagers are rent hikes, long lines and ugly condos.

    One of my neighbors left 2 boxes in front of my building the other day with broken wine glass, and empty wine bottle (red) and their address. I hand delivered it back to the front of their building.
