7B train closed for repairs

If you depend on the 7B train, then you may need to find an alternative means of transportation tonight.

Eh, crews for the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" will be filming here on Seventh Street and Avenue B tonight ... and inside 7B/Vazac's/Horseshoe Bar... (the bar is closed this evening, will return tomorrow at noon).

This marks the second night of filming around here for the 1950s-era drama

  2. Mac, I don't. But I live less than 15 yards away...

Give me the half mile to the 6 any day compared to commuter traffic to our hood. Turn into Williamsburg heavy.

  3. That bar must have some kind of record for shows/movies filmed there over the years.

  4. I was thinking that, too. I suspect one of the tips to their longevity (and staving off rent increases) is that the exterior and interior have been in more movies and TV shows than I can remember.

  5. @anon 10:43pm - Agreed. The owner must have close ties to the production industry/community. They're shooting there seemingly almost every week.

  6. Now that The Edge is gone what are the remaining East Village bars which opened before 1990 besides Mona's?

  9. Joes,Inc on 6th St between A & B? (Not sure if it's the same owner, but it's been a Joes bar of some sort since the late 80s at least.)
