The broker bunting is up on the sidewalk bridge surrounding the new development on the southeast corner of 10th Street and Fourth Avenue.
As previously reported, a 10-story, retail-residential condoplex is on its way up on the property that was formally a one-level structure of businesses.
The address here is officially 80 E. 10th St. And there is a teaser site up for the 12 condos. Sales are expected to start this fall.

ReplyDeleteThe Federal-era building had been abandoned for years. It had long since had the facade changed. What interests me about this condo-plex is the amenities and the high-end appointments in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. I cannot afford them, but it is something to think about as I meander to the next coffee shop or ice cream stand that opens in the EV.
ReplyDeleteThis building is the bain of my existence. They are granted after work permits EVERY WEEKEND! So far they have been granted 11 weekend work permits in a row. I live across the street and have to deal with noise waking me up (OFTEN BEFORE THE 9 AM start time on the permit!) This builder has to be paying off the city. There is no reason to grant permits weekend after weekend.

ReplyDelete9:00 AM, consider yourself lucky, I've endured 2 years at 4 construction sites within one block of me starting exactly at 7:am (including Saturdays). There is yet another building coming down 2 doors away from me in the fall, it's endless in this neighborhood , nothing is permanent except for all the rats which come with foundation digging.
Has anyone contacted City Hall about the weekend permits? According to Henry Berger, the Mayor's Special Counsel, you don't have to be a donor to get attention form City Hall: "If there's a problem with the bureaucracy and you can make the bureaucracy work, you do it, whoever asks."
