Earlier in the week, the "NYC not NYU" message arrived outside the Dunkin' Donuts on First Avenue and Sixth Street.
And by yesterday...

TCI is NYC!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to walk by there in an hour and see what is all says now!
ReplyDeleteGo 'Stangs
ReplyDeletetgif? nimby! nyc is cbgb not dbgb. ok? rotfl. wtf? smh.
ReplyDeleteRun DMC is NSFW
ReplyDeleteFIT is NYC
ReplyDeleteAlso, FIT would stencil that statement neatly, unlike the rest of these messes
How much would it cost the state to buy NYU and turn it into a public university called New York City University?
ReplyDeleteOr when will NYC FINALLY build a real SUNY I'd call "University At New York City"?
Also when will Rochester and Syracuse, NY have big SUNYs? It is ridiculous that the only big SUNYs in the state are in Buffalo, Binghamton, Albany, and Stony Brook but not Rochester, Syracuse, Yonkers, or NYC (four of the six biggest cities in the state by population besides Buffalo and Albany.) I know Syracuse has a SUNY but it's only for forestry and environmental sciences.

ReplyDeleteum, Southern Methodist University?
ReplyDeleteAs a lifelong resident of EV, I am a proud alumni of NYU. And it is with shame and horror, that I read posts which discriminate, revile and pass judgement on others.
ReplyDeleteNO!, that is NOT my EV nor my NYC, which has for over a hundred of years, welcomed and accepted, all peoples from all over the globe. For all those that stigmatize and label with aggressive hate, I say, "Haters, go home!" because sure as shit, you are all not born, bred and raised in EV, as evidenced by your venomous postings. EV has and will be constantly evolving, which is why it is exciting, vibrant and such a popular destination. Get with the program, guys, the only constant in life is CHANGE.
