Re: drab grey paintover
ReplyDeleteThey missed a bunch of spots.
Too bad, it was a nice mural, like something from the 80's
The Billy the Artist mural was my favorite in the neighborhood. Seems like such a waste.
ReplyDeleteHow the heck does a mural upset the structural integrity of the building requiring any action from the DOB? about it? i know there are reg's about how your building is decorated signs and such but for the city to single out one building of the 100's that have murals on them seems weird or foretelling of a new dark age for murals and street art in the nabe? or Did the Landlord want it painted over and pushed the cause of it to a DOB citation hence the vague reasons?
ReplyDeleteThere is something else going on here, why are the windows boarded up just to paint the exterior.
ReplyDeletemeanwhile, up 6th Street Izakaya vented their kitchen frylator and oven exhaust fumes into our building for a week without any building inspectors doing squat
