Still no word on what will be going in to the Post Office replacement on 14th and A? Trader Joe's, Home Depot, entrance to Hell?

ReplyDeleteI was at Trader Joe's a month ago and a management type said that the deal was on at the other 14th street site. The delay was due to a problem with the lease. But I've heard this before so... take it for what it's worth...
This space looks narrower than the one on 1tth St. but it is incredibly deep. The old Met supermarket was like a maze of aisles packed deep into the store and they carried just about everything The question is whether or not they will be allowed to display produce outside or is that building too snooty to allow it? A nice addition to an area that needs more alternatves to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and of course Tarjay.
ReplyDeleteWestside Market needs to cut down on the air conditioning! The entire store is like a freezer! Perhaps they could bring their prices into a more reasonable zone (Some items are priced higher than Whole Foods!) and spend less money on their Con Ed bill!
