Kambi Ramen House has closed on 14th Street
After 10 years at 351 E. 14th St. near First Avenue, Kambi Ramen House shut down after service this past Thursday.
EVG regular Pinch shared these photos... a sign on the door notes that their lease is up...
Kambi's sister restaurants, Minca Ramen Factory on Fifth Street near Avenue B, and Andante in Brooklyn remain in business.

Oh no! I loved Kambi. Zero pretention, good ramen, always a seat at the bar area. I guess now I'll have to haul my butt down to Minca.
ReplyDeletesad to see them go. they were part of the first ramen wave in nyc.
ReplyDeleteWow. They've been open a long time.
ReplyDeleteNot just good ramen, very good ramen. Excellent broth, and where else can you get chicken/pork broth in one bowl? This was the only decent sit-down option for me for like, miles. Styetown is a literal dining option desert as it is. I wish the proprietors well in their other restaurants. This was a dodgy corner anyways.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. If Minca ever closes I'll be devastated.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the best ramen I’ve had. Long live Mina!
ReplyDeleteIf you're willing to travel further south, we recently tried the lunch special at Mr. Taka on Allen St. Excellent ramen, including a very convincing vegetarian version.
ReplyDeleteThis was my favorite ramen place! I am so sad. I loved everyone who worked here too. :(
ReplyDeleteThere's a new sign on the door, does anyone know what it'll be? Look like a japanese restaurant of some sort.
