Sign of the skewer: Gala arrives on 3rd Avenue
The signage arrived for Gala on Saturday here at 92 Third Ave. between 12th Street and 13th Street ... joining the neon hand-held skewer...
We don't know too much about Gala just yet (their questionnaire on file with CB3 described it as a "high-end Chinese restaurant.") ... it's opening in the former Blue 9 Burger space.

that looks more like Korean than Chinese on the signage. besides, it would be right next to Han Dynasty, a TOUGH one to beat.

Thanks Max... I went back and looked at Gala's questionnaire on file with CB3 — they describe the venture as a "high-end Chinese restaurant." I added that to the post with a link to the questionnaire...
ReplyDeleteThat is most definitely not Korean. Facepalm. I am not facepalming because people can't tell the difference, I am merely facepalming at the level of presumption on display here.
