The DOH temporarily closes Bubbleology Tea on 1st Avenue
Updated 3/29: Bubbleology Tea has reopened.
The DOH has temporarily shuttered Bubbleology Tea, the London-based chain that opened at 120 1/2 First Ave. between Seventh Street and St. Mark's Place in early February.
The report from the inspection, which took place yesterday, has yet to be posted online.
Thanks to EVG reader Sawyer Mitchell for the tip/photo!

The inspection report is still not online... and a "closed for repairing" sign is now on the door...

I saw people lined up around the block when this place first opened. Waiting in the cold for an hour just to purchased whatever they were selling in there. I wonder if they still will do so after seeing this.
ReplyDeleteHuh. Looks like the chain wasn't the only thing that had legs.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brand new establishment. What in the world happened here? Certainly not a great start. What a cruel way to lure customers. After this, not me.
ReplyDeleteThis is the place that has a liquor license to sell bubble tea, Great now they have a liquor license and it looks like they have no idea what they are doing. Way to go Community Board 3, great decision.
