Damn. Wouldn't that be nice to have that much in my checking account? On a teacher's salary and after NYC taxes, I can expect to accrue that much in savings if I don't spend one single penny I earn for ten years. Clearly, after two masters degrees, I am in the wrong field.
Maybe its for a downpayment on property? Otherwise keeping that much cash in a checking account is dumb. Way too easy to make it grow in savings/investments.
