Day 1 of the Cookie Walk
This weekend marks the 11th Annual Cookie Walk at St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church on Avenue A and 10th Street.
EVG contributor Stacie Joy stopped by for Day 1 of the festivities. They'll be more cookie action today (Sunday!) from noon to 3 p.m. Find more details at this link.

Thank you Grieve for this story. This is what Saturday, December 14, 2019, should have been all about.
ReplyDeleteAgree with @11:01am completely! We went over to the cookie walk yesterday afternoon and came home with 2 big boxes full of incredibly wonderful cookies, one box for ourselves, one box to gift.
ReplyDeleteSt. Nicholas of Myra does a FANTASTIC job with the cookie walk; what a beautiful setting and such joy & good energy all around!
I tip my hat to St. Nicholas of Myra and to all their parishioners who make these cookies, and who make this marvelous event happen.
And I thank them from the bottom of my heart (and my hips) for a wholesome and charming event that's in the true spirit of Christmas!
I wonder if they’re thinking about publishing a cookie cookbook (with lots of photos)?
ReplyDeleteDespite the fact that my favorite chocolate chunk cookies were not there, due to the man who bakes them being ill this year (Get well soon, Billy!), it was just as great as ever. Truly one of the best events the EV has to offer, although this year it was far less of a sh*tshow than last, due to the fact that they cut back on the social media announcements, and there was nothing on TV news about it. Thanks to all who make it possible!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to the St. Nicholas community for the Cookie Walk!!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful!
