Ukrainian East Village restaurant is back

Dang. Busy late afternoon for reopenings. The National Ukrainian Home restaurant (aka Ukrainian East Village restaurant) reopens at 5 p.m. today at 140 Second Ave. between St. Mark's Place and Ninth Street, per Steven...
First time back for the 51-year-old mainstay since March 2020.

@Anonymous 4:20 AM, are you really that petty? This neighborhood is certainly big enough for both locales, and given how they are pretty much the only two Eastern European restaurants left (I don't count Veselka, which is basically just a tarted-up version for tourists, a far cry from their 1970-80s authenticity) in a neighborhood that once hosted at least a dozen of them, you should be thankful that both survived the shutdown.

Why do folks have to always tear down? The people at Veselka are very nice, the food is good and, as a neighborhood resident, not just welcoming to tourists. As if we have many of those these days.
