ReplyDelete@10:33 - I miss those Amy Arbus street style photos too. There was a film made some time back that kind of collected them all in one stream of joyful nostalgia. Can't remember the name of it, but it included many recognizable locals.

ReplyDeleteHi Derek, this is one of the best street photos I’ve seen in a long time. It is what most street photography since Henri Cartier-Bresson seeks to capture, the decisive moment. I took the liberty of importing it and dropping the saturation level to zero, and your photo works just as well in black and white. That hat literally shimmers, and it resonates with the silver graffiti on the wall. Well done!
