Right before the heavy rain moved into the area this evening... all sorts of warnings tonight from the remnants of Ida — a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 10:30 ... Flash Flood Warning until 11:30.

Notify NYC sent out a tornado warning for Manhattan around 9pm and said to take shelter. I don't remember that ever happening before.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get any Tornado Warning text, but like half a dozen Flood Emergency ones, which is a first for the city.
DeleteI was waiting for the M8 home when the hurricane broke, and the bus seemed to take forever to arrive. Naturally I was drenched by the time I got home; I wasn't able to retrieve any alerts from my phone at all.
