ReplyDeleteThis corner has been rapidly deteriorating for more than a year and now it's going to happen even more swiftly. I hope the City Council members and Maloney enjoy their seats, because this kind of decay has been happening all throughout the EV and there's been jack done about it. I'm ready for some new political blood that can revitalize the neighborhood.

ReplyDeleteIf this property was on the Upper West Side, it would be immediately turned into a 98 story high needle-style super-condo, with a poor door leading to a single windowless affordable apartment in the basement. But since this is the East Village, it will probably just sit there and rot for decades.
ReplyDeleteThere are two Papaya Dogs below 14th Street left: one at West 4th Street & Sixth Avenue, the other on Fulton Street steps from the South Street Seaport.
