Readers reported showing up at Arthur's in recent days only to find the gate down, with the inside of the shop emptied out... there also isn't any information about a new location.

He tried very hard, nice guy. Maybe it would have worked out, but trying to build a client base in what is basically now a transient neighborhood is challenging. Especially when the government wants you out of business anyway.
ReplyDeleteMore about govt restrictions than a transient neighborhood. What about all the long time rent stabilized residents? Everything bad is blamed on transients.
DeleteGates have been down for weeks. For a few days there was a sign up that said: Call Arthur and gave a phone number, but I didn't write it down and now it is gone. Hope he is okay. Nice guy. Fair price.
