The signage for K & H Convenience was only installed last week (thanks Pinch!) ... the shop has the usual items popping up at like-minded businesses around the neighborhood — hookah, vapes, snacks, soda, etc.
These are all things you can find directly across 14th Street at the Ali Baba Smoke Shop...
... or a few storefronts to the west at newish The Tree Shop NYC...Interesting to see how these shops have evolved... the signage for PJ's Grocery, a block to the west on 14th Street, still touts Sports Cards, Comic Cards, Phone Cards and Cigars...
14th Street is gearing up to be the center of retail for Cannabis shops.
ReplyDeleteI visited one of these shops. Terrible selection of bud and what they do sell is not actually an eighth or a quarter. These are the spots you’ll be paying premium prices. All sold in fancy undescriptive factory sealed bags (doesn't indicate potency or type of bud).
ReplyDeleteOh and the person working the counter was completely uninformed about any product. So it was a guessing game. These shops will close up when people take 1 second to shop and realize the real dealers can actually provide some sort of service and lower cost.
The American Dream deli on 14 street and 2nd Ave on the north side of the street is a smoke shop now,the person at the counter said. The staff is gone. No food. EV can you confirm?
ReplyDeleteToo many of these shops. The street looks terrible. Scary. Thank you
The city doesn't limit these just like the city rubber stamps every fucking liquor license in the east village. Yes looking at you cb3 who doesn't realize it changes the nature of a business and turns it into a bar.
