Pouring Ribbons replacement 11 Tigers announces itself on Avenue B

Coming soon signage recently arrived at 225 Avenue B between 13th Street and 14th Street for 11 Tigers. (H/T Jake Bowling!)

As previously reported, the bar-restaurant serving an omakase menu is in the works for the second-floor space. (The questionnaire for the CB3-SLA meeting mentioned the occasional jazz musician or two for entertainment.) There's an Instagram account for the establishment, which describes itself as a "Speakeasy bar & Restaurant."

The cocktail lounge Pouring Ribbons closed here last month after 10 years in service.

  1. I missed the news that Pouring Ribbons closed… what a shame. I was just in the East village this past weekend after nearly 2 years and it has changed so much in such a short period of time. The last time I went was on the day of SantaCon 2019. I wasn’t participating as a Santa, and we went towards closing time, but our table was comped all of our drinks for being “the most civil table of the night.” Really will miss this place. It was a huge part of my 20s living on Avenue B.

  2. @9:15 yes the pandemic really did a number on the long running businesses here and gutted much of Alphabet City including nice parks and people.
