Thursday's parting shot
We received a lot of queries today about what was filming on Avenue A along Tompkins Square Park ... the production notices read "Nine Orchard," which is likely a fake name.

The posted noticed called the production "L.T.R.O.I." which by some miracle my brain recognized immediately as Let The Right One In, which is a really fantastic Swedish vampire film from 2008. So presumably this will be the shitty American remake.
ReplyDeleteThe 2008 Swedish film was a well made shocker.
ReplyDeleteThe 2010 Americanized version, "Let Me In", total garbage.
Why does Hollywood always assume that remakes are worth the effort?
The only remake in recent times that was worth its salt was the 2012 movie "Dredd".
There already is an inferior American remake
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show ya there are " No Creative Minds" in Hollywood. Let's just do remakes remakes and more remakes -
ReplyDeleteIf you have time this summer to sit inside with the a/c on and do some production comparisons, I recommend the sci-fi(ish) Glitch series. There's an Australian version, which I think is excellent, a French version which is pretty good, and then the shitty American version.
